On July 23, 2020, Drew Plotkin released his interview with Bryan Spears "Britney Spears’ Brother Bryan Speaks Out On Court Case" on As NOT Seen on TV. The interview is also available as an audio-only podcast.
"She's been in this thing for quite some time now. Obviously, there was a need for it in the beginning that, as every--I assume everyone knows the issues that were going on. And now they've made some changes. You know, all we can do is kind of hope for the best."
"I think we kinda got caught by surprise with it all, to be honest with you. But, you know, and then it's been a great thing for our family, you know, to this point. And, um, you just kinda keep hoping for the best."
Bryan states that he does not know who initiated the conservatorship.
Bryan thinks that the conservatorship was the right choice for Britney at the time it was set up.
"In general, I think, you know, [Jamie has] done the best he could given the situation he was put in. You know, we've had to, like, work together as a family to kind of keep it all going."
"She's always wanted to get out of it...she's wanted to get out of it for quite some time."
Bryan equates the conservatorship with having staff, such as an assistant to make dinner reservations.
Bryan asserts that Britney is in control of her social media accounts: "I don't know if she actually physically does it or if she sends it to a team."
