On September 29, 2021, a hearing regarding Britney Spears's legal counsel was held in Stanley Mosk Courthouse. The next hearing is scheduled for November 12, 2021.

Due to file size, the hearing transcript has been split into two parts: Pre-recess transcript & Post-recess transcript.

Rounds of arguments from the attorneys representing Britney and Jamie Spears led to Judge Brenda Penny ordering that Jamie be suspended as conservator and temporarily replaced by CPA Jason Zabel. Judge Penny also ordered that all the documents and files associated with the estate be turned over to Zabel along with all of the assets. Attorney Vivian Thoreen requested the opportunity to appeal the ruling and Judge Penny stated that it is not an appealable order.

Rosengart proposed to Judge Penny that a plan for an orderly transition be worked out over the next 30-45 days before a subsequent hearing for ending the conservatorship.

The New York Times reporting on violations of Britney's privacy was raised, which Rosengart called "unfathomable". Thoreen disputed all allegations in the TV show put on by the New York Times as well as all accusations by Rosengart.
